(NEXSTAR) – Decorated NFL linebacker Demario Davis – who knows a thing or two about defense – sat down with Nexstar Tuesday to talk about the players who have caught his eye and what he thinks are the keys to winning Super Bowl LX. "I like, I like the mixture of veteran and young player that they have on the Seattle defense," the Mississippi native and former Pro Bowler said, praising in particular veteran pass rusher DeMarcus Lawrence, who had a key play to help defeat the Los Angeles Rams for the NFC Championship. "I think the Rams had the perfect play call and they probably would have scored had he not seen what was happening and had that veteran status move," Davis said. "But I think this game is ultimately going to come down to who can take away and affect the quarterback. I think both teams will be able to run the ball ... but it's going to come down to who can who can affect the quarterback." Davis added that both the Patriots' Drake Maye and Seahawks' Sam Darnold have effectively managed the game throughout the playoffs, so he thinks the difference will be the defense that can throw the opposing quarterback out of rhythm and cause sacks, interceptions or bad passes. "That's what it's going to come down to," Davis said. "These defenses have to be ready to step up to that challenge." As for his projected winner? "I think it's going to be a close game, but the Patriots are going to pull it out," Davis said.
