(NEXSTAR) – Actor Alan Ritchson, the hulking star of "Reacher," won't face charges after he allegedly punched a man multiple times during an altercation in Brentwood, Tennessee on Sunday, police tell Nexstar. Graphic body camera footage, apparently captured by Ritchson as he was riding a bright green Kawasaki motorcycle, shows a man wearing a blue T-shirt step in front of the bike. "You threatened my safety, bro!" Ritchson says after braking abruptly, his bike toppling over. The actor was reportedly accompanied by his two sons, who are also seen in the video. The man, identified by TMZ as neighbor Ronnie Taylor, accuses Ritchson of endangering children in the neighborhood: "I've called the BPD (Brentwood Police Department) already because you've been driving around this [expletive] neighborhood like an [expletive] lunatic." Video recorded from a nearby home and shared on social media appears to show Ritchson punching the Taylor several times. Ritchson's neighbor, his face bruised in several places, later admitted to TMZ that he pushed the "Smallville" actor twice before Ritchson "kicked the crap" out of him. "I don't wish the guy any malice or ill will, but we just don't need people riding through neighborhoods like this, and I just decided, 'I'm going to take a stand' because it's just going to end up way worse," Taylor said. After reviewing video footage and witness statements, Brentwood police and the Williamson County District Attorney's Office chose not to file any criminal charges. "Mr. Ritchson’s actions were found to be in self-defense," BPD Police Captain Steven Pepin told Nexstar in a statement. "Although a potential reckless endangerment charge was considered, Mr. Ritchson declined to pursue charges." Ritchson, who hasn't publicly addressed the incident, posted the following quote without comment on Instagram Monday: "Never interrupt your enemy when he is making a mistake."
