DALLAS (NEXSTAR) - Women who roll up their sleeves and build better communities were recognized on Tuesday by Nexstar Media as part of the annual Remarkable Women initiative. The Remarkable Women finalists come from across Nexstar's 116 television markets, and are honored each year with a trip to gather and celebrate with the other nominees. This year the 125 finalists will be flown to Nashville this weekend to celebrate and learn the identity of our national winner. The Remarkable Women nomination and selection process celebrates local women who inspire, lead, and pave the way for other women to succeed. Each finalist is recognized for inspiring acts or tangible efforts to build up local communities. More than 50,000 women have been nominated since Remarkable Women began in 2020. Nearly 12,000 were nominated in 2026 alone. The map below offers a look at this year's finalists. The winner is announced during International Women’s Month with a special one-hour program airing on The CW Network, NewsNation, and on local broadcasts across Nexstar’s network of local television stations. Nexstar will make a donation to amplify the future work of the 2026 winner.
