(NEXSTAR) - As the NASCAR Xfinity Series playoffs wind down, Austin Hill secured a victory in the second Round of Eight race at Alabama's iconic Talladega Superspeedway. This season's leader and championship favorite Connor Zilisch ended his top five streak due to a crash in the second stage, but the 19-year-old still leads the series in points and has a guaranteed entry to the championship in November. While disappointed at the end of his streak, Zilisch is already starting to look ahead to that final race. "We're already starting to work on getting ready for [the championship in] Phoenix, so that's the main goal," Zilisch said. "We still have to go to Martinsville and race, but we're not really racing for much." Carson Kvapil in the #1 car finished just behind Hill, a key finish for the racer who is currently riding the line between making the championship and being eliminated. After next week's final Round of Eight race, the top four drivers will move on to the final race, while the remaining drivers will be eliminated. Kvapil currently sits in 4th place, just 11 points ahead of 5th-place driver Sammy Smith. Brandon Jones and Sam Mayer sit just a few points below Smith in 6th and 7th, and next week's race will be a nail-biter as these four drivers battle it out for that final coveted championship spot. The Xfinity Series playoffs head to Martinsville, Virginia, next week for The IAA and Ritchie Bros. 250, the final playoff race of the season. You can catch that race on The CW Saturday, Oct. 25 at 7:30 p.m. ET.
