(NEXSTAR) - Whether it's the lights twinkling down every street, the hustle and bustle of people shopping from store to store, or that beautifully decorated tree that's up every December, Christmas brings a level of joy and excitement to every city across the country. But to find the best city across the U.S. for celebrating the holidays, it can be hard to identify which is the most festive with fun traditions and is also not extremely expensive at every turn. WalletHub decided to take on the challenge to answer this exact question using the 100 largest cities in the U.S. and looking at a variety of factors, such as traditions, shopping, and general cost, then giving each a score from 0-100 to find which is the best at celebrating Christmas. Landing at the top of the list was Atlanta, with a score of 63.36, thanks to an extremely high number of bakeries, holiday decoration shops and card shops per capita. Not far behind was San Francisco with a score of 61.37, which has the most card shops, the third-most gift shops and the fourth-most shopping centers per capita. Other cities that ranked at the top were Seattle (61.28), Orlando (61.19), and Las Vegas (61.02).
